The Lions are about working together to improve the lives of others, but here at the Abingdon Lions we also believe it is important to have a good time while doing it. We meet on the second Wednesday of every month to plan what we do and to consider how we can help people in out community. However, throughout the year we engae in a number of social events too.

Everyone over 18 is welcome.

We would love for you to join us

If you would like to join us, then please contact Richard to discuss it. As the Abingdon Lions is a club we do have a membership charge, for £30 every 6 months but only once you have become a full member.

Becoming a member

Once you have contacted us - we will get back to you. You then can meet with one or two of us to talk about how it all works and what we do.

Or

You can attend one of our meetings. Each new member has 3 meetings to decide if they would like to become full members.

We would ask you to consider becoming a 'friend' of Abingdon Lions first to see if you enjoy it and if you have the time to commit. This would allow you to join in most things and get to know how things work, along with getting to know the other members.

Ideally we would like you to attend all meetings and some events but we do understand that might not always be possible.

After you have become a member, one of the current Lions will be your mentor to make sure that you can be properly orientated.
